How do I use a template on Proxmox VE?

Open a template, copy the provided download command, run it on your Proxmox node or storage, then create a VM or container from the downloaded image. Each template page lists the exact version, size, steps and any default credentials.

Are the default credentials secret?

No. Where shown, the username and password are published, non-secret defaults for the base image — always change them on first boot. Credentials are never included in the download command.

Do I need a Vormox account to download templates?

No. The template library and every download command are public. A Vormox account is only needed to automate provisioning, HA and backups across your Proxmox cluster.
