// Management Platform

The Proxmox management
platform for teams

Provision VMs and containers, automate HA and live migration, schedule backups, and manage every Proxmox VE cluster from one dashboard and API — built on the Proxmox you already run.

Multi-cluster management

Connect every Proxmox VE cluster and manage nodes, storage and guests from one dashboard — no per-node logins.

VM & LXC provisioning

Spin up virtual machines and containers from templates in seconds, with declarative configs you can review and reuse.

HA & live migration

Automate High Availability policies, failover rules and zero-downtime live migrations across nodes.

Backups & snapshots

Schedule, verify and restore backups and snapshots across the fleet, with retention you set once.

Template library

A managed catalog of ready-to-deploy OS images so new guests start from a known-good baseline.

API, Terraform & Ansible

A REST API and infrastructure-as-code integrations so your cluster is defined, versioned and reproducible.

Built on Proxmox VE — not a replacement

Vormox is an independent management layer that connects to your existing Proxmox VE clusters through their API. It doesn't fork, replace, or re-license Proxmox: your hypervisors keep running Proxmox VE exactly as they do today, and Vormox adds cross-cluster orchestration, automation, and team workflows on top. Point it at your API endpoint and it auto-discovers your nodes, storage, and guests — no agent to install on the hosts.

How it works

1

Connect

Add your Proxmox VE API endpoint and token. Vormox discovers nodes, storage pools and existing VMs automatically.

2

Automate

Define provisioning, HA policies, backup schedules and scaling as declarative config, in the UI or as code.

3

Operate

Run and monitor everything across clusters from one dashboard, API, CLI or CI pipeline — and roll back instantly.

Who it's for

Vormox is built for infrastructure and platform teams running Proxmox VE in production — from a single busy cluster to fleets spread across datacenters — who want the automation, access control and reproducibility of a modern cloud platform without leaving Proxmox. New to templates? Browse the Proxmox template library, or compare approaches on the blog.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Proxmox management platform?

It is software that sits on top of one or more Proxmox VE clusters and centralises day-to-day operations — provisioning VMs and containers, high availability, live migration, backups and monitoring — behind one dashboard and API, instead of managing each node separately.

Does Vormox replace Proxmox VE?

No. Vormox connects to your existing Proxmox VE clusters through their API and adds automation, orchestration and multi-cluster management on top. Proxmox VE keeps running your virtualization; Vormox manages it. Vormox is an independent product and is not affiliated with Proxmox Server Solutions GmbH.

Do I need to install anything on my Proxmox nodes?

No agent is required on the hypervisors. You point Vormox at your Proxmox VE API endpoint with an API token and it auto-discovers your nodes, storage and guests.

Can Vormox manage more than one cluster?

Yes. Vormox is built for teams running multiple Proxmox VE clusters across datacenters, with centralised access control and a single view of the whole fleet.

How is Vormox different from the Proxmox web UI?

The built-in Proxmox VE web UI manages a single cluster. Vormox adds cross-cluster management, declarative automation, scheduled workflows, infrastructure-as-code integrations and team access control on top of it.
