Vormox is an independent management layer that connects to your existing Proxmox VE clusters through their API. It doesn't fork, replace, or re-license Proxmox: your hypervisors keep running Proxmox VE exactly as they do today, and Vormox adds cross-cluster orchestration, automation, and team workflows on top. Point it at your API endpoint and it auto-discovers your nodes, storage, and guests — no agent to install on the hosts.

What is a Proxmox management platform?

Does Vormox replace Proxmox VE?

No. Vormox connects to your existing Proxmox VE clusters through their API and adds automation, orchestration and multi-cluster management on top. Proxmox VE keeps running your virtualization; Vormox manages it. Vormox is an independent product and is not affiliated with Proxmox Server Solutions GmbH.

Do I need to install anything on my Proxmox nodes?

No agent is required on the hypervisors. You point Vormox at your Proxmox VE API endpoint with an API token and it auto-discovers your nodes, storage and guests.

Can Vormox manage more than one cluster?

Yes. Vormox is built for teams running multiple Proxmox VE clusters across datacenters, with centralised access control and a single view of the whole fleet.

How is Vormox different from the Proxmox web UI?

The built-in Proxmox VE web UI manages a single cluster. Vormox adds cross-cluster management, declarative automation, scheduled workflows, infrastructure-as-code integrations and team access control on top of it.
